Rules for using HumHunt
Last updated: 24 September 2026
Agreement
By using HumHunt (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
HumHunt is operated by an individual based in Ireland. Contact: info@humhunt.app.
These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the full agreement for your use of the Service.
The Service
HumHunt is a free tool that tries to identify songs from humming or singing, and may use optional lyric hints. Results can include titles, artists, related info, and links or previews from third-party music services.
Results are best-effort only. Accuracy depends on your audio, environment, and third-party catalogues. We do not guarantee a correct match.
Eligibility
You must be old enough to use the Service under the laws that apply to you. In Ireland and elsewhere in the EEA this is generally 16. In the UK this is generally 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the Service only with a parent or guardian's permission.
Acceptable use
Use HumHunt lawfully and for personal use unless we agree otherwise in writing.
You must not: abuse, overload, or disrupt the Service; bypass rate limits or security; scrape or reverse engineer the Service except where law allows; or use it to infringe others' rights.
Microphone
Humming recognition needs microphone access. You are responsible for how you record in your environment and for following local recording laws. You can revoke microphone permission in your browser or device settings.
Third parties
The Service may rely on third-party recognition, metadata, previews, and music platforms. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. HumHunt is not affiliated with or endorsed by those platforms unless we say so. We do not host full commercial recordings.
Intellectual property
HumHunt's name, branding, interface, and original code belong to the creator. Song titles, artwork, previews, and related content belong to their rights holders.
If you believe something shown through the Service infringes your copyright, email info@humhunt.app with enough detail to identify the work and where it appears. We will review and, where appropriate, remove or disable access.
Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or accurate recognition.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to what you paid us to use it in the 12 months before the claim (for the free Service, that is zero), except where liability cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under Irish or applicable EU law.
Changes and availability
We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date shows the current version. We may change, suspend, or stop the Service. You may stop using HumHunt at any time.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Courts in Ireland have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country says otherwise.
